Join in Live or watch the recording. Weekly Encaustic Meetup is a weekly online class that allows students to work at their own pace, building on techniques and styles that interest them. Each class will begin with a demo or two followed by co-working studio time for students to explore the new techniques, ask questions and share progress. This fun class is perfect for anyone curious about the encaustic process and is suitable for all skill levels. Participants will explore and develop techniques in this wonderful, waxy medium. Some refresher information will be covered such as surface preparation, individual studio set up, we will also be doing a deeper drive discussing setting up a sketchbook practice, approaches to translate some of those ideas into encaustic, colour mixing and more. Some of the additional techniques we will cover but not be limited to include; image/ photo transfer, mixed media, and painting.

Classes are recorded via zoom and will be sent out weekly

Class meets Tuesdays, 10:00pm-12:00pm Pacific Time.

Virtual meetups will begin January 2026.
