Encaustic is an amazingly durable art form that has been in use for centuries. Encaustic Painting involves using wax medium to which colour pigments have been added, then heated on an encaustic palette and applied to a rigid substrate however, its application goes far beyond that.

While learning the fundamentals, experiment with multiple applications of the encaustic process including, creating sumptuous surfaces and texture, painting, colour mixing, fusing, collage and image transfer.
